Program overview

This program is for Masters (19 yrs +) athletes who are interested in skiing for fitness and competition in a keen and friendly setting, but have other life priorities such as school, work, and/or family. Masters Racers enjoy a season of on-snow sessions from December to March, and dry-land training opportunities in October and November. Sessions are led by the Club’s Head Coach and occasional guest coaches. A detailed training plan is provided.

Improve your technical and tactical skills in both classic and skate technique, improve your fitness to cruiser level or blaster level… you choose. The best part of this program is the people, from ski enthusiast to keen competitor, whom you get to meet, train and ski with.

The primary focus for this team is the BC Cup Series, our very own Vancouver Island Loppet, and the season finale, the Tour de Strathcona. Masters also compete at the Callaghan Valley’s P’ayakentsut Loppet.
